Infogrames and BioWare - creators of the Baldur's Gate series - on Tuesday announced Neverwinter Nights has shipped to retail stores under Infogrames' Atari label. The Dungeons & Dragons computer game has been rated "T" by the ESRB and has a suggested retail price of $59.99. Neverwinter Nights uses the 3D BioWare Aurora Engine and the Third Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons core rulebook published by Wizards of the Coast. The game contains a 60-100 hour single-player campaign also playable in multiplayer mode. Neverwinter Nights also allows its players to step into the shoes of the Dungeon Master to tell their own stories and create their own adventures in the spirit of the pen and paper original.

BioWare and Interplay have announced a settlement ending their dispute over Neverwinter Nights, BioWare's upcoming Dungeon & Dragon's role-playing game. As part of the agreement, the game will be published worldwide by Infogrames, subject to certain pre-existing Interplay licenses.
