AVault Review (4.0/5)^©: Codename: Panzers – Phase One is a fine addition to publisher CDV’s growing strategy stable. It has a few built-in frustrations with units that are too strong and unexplainable secret missions, but the tactical side of the house doesn’t disappoint. Carrying your troops from mission to mission adds to the depth of the gameplay, especially if you can manage to keep them alive as they become better trained. It’s not often you have such a personal interest in your digital troops` survival and treat them as anything but grist for the meat mill, but Stormregion has managed to make it so you feel like a mother hen and take it personally if one of your guys buys the farm. Tactical strategy fans will find loads to love in Codename: Panzers and will soon be asking, “Where’s Phase Two?”
